Washington DC – Breakfasts With Kids 3

Whenever I research a city before I visit, I’m always looking for innovative, successful local chefs, and local chains, instead of national restaurants, and I hope you are too.

Many times, a prominent local chef will have grown a business with several choices, and that is the case with the young chef highlighted today in Washington, DC.

Geoff has 2 establishments in the City and a couple in the best of the Metro environs. Chances are that you’ll be close-by one or another.

Chef Geoff’s is a great restaurant for the whole family. The food is upscale and tasty enough to please the adults, and there is a kid’s menu featuring pizzas and pastas. The staff is most accommodating.

Note: the downtown location is very handy for pre-theater dining, especially if you’re catching a show at the Warner across the street, between E and F. There’s a 3-course special offered just for these occasions from 4pm-6:30pm — which also could become a less-expensive family dinner opportunity.

Uptown, in Georgetown, is wonderful when the weather is fine, as there is outdoor seating for over 100.

Both DC locations serve a fabulous jazz brunch on Sundays.

They have high chairs and booster seats available.

Other outlets: Lia’s Chef Geoff’s, Chef Geoff’s Tyson’s (in Tyson’s Corner, VA)
